Ophthalmology Resources is a national consulting firm with specific expertise in MD dispensary start-ups, and the on-going financial and operational management, staffing and marketing of the ophthalmology practice and dispensary. Mrs. Fritz has over 30 years experience as a practice specialist in the area of dispensing.

She has worked for hundreds of medical practices comprised of Ophthalmology, Optometry and Opticianry. She consults on: optical and practice layout and design and patient flow, financial and operational management, financing, computerizing, market research, developing marketing strategies and programs, inventory management and merchandising, staff hiring and training for the practice and dispensary. Overwhelmingly, her clients report that following her advice has resulted in the financial and operational success of their MD practice and dispensary. (see Testimonials)

Fritz began specializing in the MD dispensing segment in the early 90's as more and more MDs began to move into dispensing eyewear. In 1999, she was the producer, conference director, educational director and faculty member for the First Dispensing Ophthalmology Conference held in Atlantic City, NJ, April 23-25. Subsequently, she produced the Second Dispensing Ophthalmology Conference in San Diego, CA, Feb 18-20, 2000.

In May of 2000, she and a group MD's and fellow faculty founded the American Association of Dispensing Ophthalmologists, Inc., a national non-profit organization dedicated to education for dispensing ophthalmologists. Subsequently, they have held the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th Dispensing Ophthalmology Conferences at International Vision Expos in New York and Las Vegas. Mrs. Fritz presently serves on the AADO executive board as Treasurer. She is also the AADO Executive Director.

Fritz has lectured on dispensing at the American Academy of Ophthalmology meetings in 2004, 2005 and is scheduled to lecture on MD Dispensing at the 2006 meeting in November in Las Vegas. The presentations are through the American Association of Ophthalmic Executives branch of the AAO.

A dynamic national and international lecturer, she has given hundreds of seminars at every major optical conference since 1975. Her seminars have been sponsored by Associations from all the three O's, as well as, Optical Corporations. She has written for the optical trade press for 25 years and is often published and quoted in Review of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology Times. She now writes for Ophthalmology Times, which is the official publication of AADO. She also has written the AADO's MD Dispensing e-newsletter.

She is Vice President of her husband's firm, Fritz EyeCare, Inc., Branford, CT.
