Ophthalmology Resources, LLC is a consulting firm that specializes in dispensary practice management for ophthalmology. Pam Fritz has set-up hundreds of MD optical dispensaries nationwide and her success is well documented by testimonials from ophthalmologists.
Fritz is recognized nationally as a specialist in Medicare post-op cataract eyewear, compliance, billing and reimbursements and has given hundreds of workshops on the subject. She represents the optical industry on the Provider Outreach & Education Panels of three of the nation's Medicare DME (Durable Medical Equipment) contractors: NHIC in the Northeast, National Government Services in the Midwest and Noridian in the Western US.
She has lectured on optical dispensary management and Medicare at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Annual Meeting, the ASCRS/ASOA annual meeting and many state ophthalmological societies including the CT Society of Eye Physicians and NY State Ophthalmological Society.
She has lectured at state opticians association meeting, most recently NYSSO (NY State Society of Opticians), OAO (Opticians Association of Oregon, OAM (Opticians Association of Massachusetts), POF (Professional Opticians of Florida), LADO (Louisiana Assoc. of Dispensing Opticians), OAV (Opticians Assoc. of Virginia) and OANJ (Opticians Association of New Jersey, to name a few.
She is a member of the ASOA (American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators) and lectured at the ASCRS/ASOA meeting in San Diego, April 2015
Fritz was a contributing editor for “Ophthalmology Times” (2002-2008) helping to launch the new “Dispensing MD” section of the magazine. The section received a national award from the Trade Magazine Publishers Association. She continues to writes for Review of Ophthalmology and Eye Care Business publications.
Ms. Fritz has been a faculty member of Optifair, Eyequest Conferences, International Vision Expo, and the American Optometric Association.
She was a founder and served as the Executive Director of the American Association of Dispensing Ophthalmologists, Inc. (1999 – 2008) During her tenure with AADO, she planned and executed the first “Dispensing Ophthalmology Pavilion” in the exhibit hall at the AAO annual meeting.
In 2003 she was named, “50 of the most influential women in the optical industry” in a nationwide poll conducted by Jobson Publishing.
In 2014 she received an Achievement Award from The American Academy of Ophthalmology, “for many years of distinguished service in the programs of this Society” (AAO).
