Open House/Grand Opening

Our objective is to provide you with the necessary tools to create an exciting and profitable Open House or Grand Opening. Success will not only occur on the day(s) of the event(s) but have a long term impact on the practice's exam bookings and future optical sales as well.

What do we provide?

STEP 1: Preparation & Coordination Package includes:

  • Task List with Event Calendar Schedule-what to do and when to do it
  • Budget guidelines
  • Staff Assignments-How to involve the entire practice in the event
  • Public Relations Manual: includes Event Timetable, Media Kit, Creating Contact Mailing Lists, etc…
  • Practice's Dispensary Featured in Ophthalmology Times (if before event, will be in PR for the event)
  • Promotion of FREE Image/Color Analysis Consultant for the Patient - how to promote the service and book the patients
  • Press Releases, posters, layouts, postcards or any collateral materials layout (print cost not included)
    Advertising: Newspaper ad layouts, radio commercials, etc.
  • Planning and coordinating the pre-event Reception
    Ideas for food, refreshments and decorations
    Prize Drawings: coordinating manufacturer's give-aways
  • Coordinate with frame, lens and lab reps on all aspects of the program (prior to and at the event)

STEP 2: FREE Patient Consultations during Open House

  • Individual consultations with Holly, Certified Image Consultant, every 20 minutes throughout the entire event
  • Holly coordinates with the on-site frame vendors to assure that the patient handoff occurs
  • She works with the opticians on the patient's lens needs/options.

Most patients will choose multiple frames and/or multiple lens options

Each of these patients receives a customized booklet from the practice indicating:

  • Color Analysis
  • Face Shape Analysis
  • Frame styles for both work and casual
  • Lens Options to suite their lifestyle
  • Accessory Recommendations

Holly is a Certified Image Consultant/Personal Shopper with 25 years experience in both the practicalities and the business administration of running Optometric, Ophthalmology & Laser Centers. Holly is an entrepreneur and owner of her own consulting company since 1996. She has been on the faculty of the American Association of Dispensing Ophthalmologists, and a speaker for AADO at International Vision Expo East and West and Eye Quest Conferences. She has also spoken at many local Ophthalmology/Optometric Conferences. Her courses have been ABO/JCAHPO approved and CME approved for physicians through AADO. Curriculum topics include:
